Hi, I'm Professor Houston, JM.
"I didn’t grow up around CEOs. I grew up around survival, food stamps, Section 8, and watching my parents miss school events because they had to work. I followed the rules: went to school, got the degrees, chased the good job. And still ended up overworked, underpaid, and confused about how to build something real for myself.
So I did what most of us do: I started a business with no guidance, no blueprint, just faith and Google. I failed. I wasted money. I started over more times than I can count. But I refused to give up, because I knew if I could figure this out, I could teach it.
And now I do.
At Unpublished University, I teach the real game—business formation, credit, marketing, and income streams they don’t want us to know about. No fluff. No gatekeeping. Just the tools I wish someone handed me when I was starting from scratch.

Why We Exist?
Unpublished University was born out of frustration, survival, and the determination to break a cycle. Professor Houston, JM didn’t grow up around entrepreneurs. She grew up around survivors, people doing what they had to do to make it through the month. College was supposed to be the way out. But even with degrees and drive, the path to financial freedom was still unclear.
So, like many of us, she turned to business, but quickly realized she didn’t have the tools. No blueprint. No mentor. Just Google searches, YouTube tutorials, and a whole lot of trial and error. She made mistakes. Lost money. Wasted time. And in the process, she discovered the truth: The information is out there, it’s just not made for people like us.
Unpublished University was created to change that. A platform with no gatekeeping, no fluff, and no corporate jargon. Just real knowledge, taught by someone who’s lived it. Because getting legit shouldn’t feel impossible. This isn’t just a business, it’s a mission. To teach what school didn’t. To give people the power to build something bigger than their past. And to make sure the next generation doesn’t have to start from scratch.
